In 2012, NYARC libraries began an exercise to evaluate duplicate serial titles across the consortium and develop a work plan to consolidate select titles that can be carried forward into the future. The results of de-duplication are intended to relieve space constraints, enhance preservation and condition of the physical copies, increase discoverability of the corresponding records in Discovery, improve delivery and use to patrons, and expand collaboration among the three libraries.
